1577 <p>The WBEM to WMI <span class=SpellE>Mapper</span> provides a way to access
1578 WMI data from Windows platform systems. It converts incoming XML/CIM requests
1579 to Microsoft WMI requests, executes the requests, converts the results to
1580 XML/CIM and returns the results to the client. WMI <span class=SpellE>Mapper</span>
1581 receives an HTTP message containing the XML/CIM request. It decodes the XML
1582 message and extracts from the HTTP message header the user credentials provided
1583 on the connection (username and password). The WMI <span class=SpellE>Mapper</span>
1584 authenticates these credentials, verifying if the provided credentials have
1585 access to the desired WMI data. This is done because the WMI <span
1586 class=SpellE>Mapper</span> runs as a service, logged on using an account with
1587 administrative rights (which has all access to WMI data). Because of this, the
1588 martin 1.3 WMI <span class=SpellE>Mapper</span> impersonates the user credentials provided
1589 on the HTTP message to ensure that the calling user has rights to browse WMI
1590 data. Hence, ALL requests made to the WMI <span class=SpellE>Mapper</span> MUST

1737 interpretation that class-defined qualifiers are not included in instances, so
