BUILDING

This provider only compiles on linux. It uses a uuid library for linux
that is available on-line (see below).

This provider is not build by defualt. You will need to manually take some
additional steps:

1) Obtain the uuid library - uuid.h and libuuid.a from:

	http://e2fsprogs.sourceforge.net/

	A man page for libuuid is available at:

	http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man3/libuuid.3.html

2) Install (or copy) libuuid.a into a directory that is on
   your library load path.

3) Rebuild Pegasus with PEGASUS_ENABLE_SLP defined in your environment

4) From in this directory, type make <Enter>


INSTALLING

This provider has dependencies on the following components:

1) The slp_client library in $PEGASUS_ROOT/src/Unsupportd/slp_client.
	Read the build and installation instructions for that library.
	Make sure that it is installed in a directory that you
	can load shared libraries from.


2) Rebuild the registry:
	cd $(PEGASUS_ROOT)
	make repository

3) Install the Prerequisite Instances mof file:
	
    cd $(PEGASUS_ROOT)/Schemas/Pegasus/Internal/VER20
    cimmofl PrerequisiteInstances.mof


TEST PROGRAM

There is a test program in this directory that does not have a Makefile.
It is in TestSLPClient.cpp
